Due to expansion within the Compliance Team which at it core supports the Health, Safety, Governance and Wellbeing of Severn Trent Green Power we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, positive and professional individual with a great eye for detail to this team .

The role of the Compliance Governance Officer is to support the Compliance Governance Manager and be the central hub to the Compliance team. You will support the development and management of the Compliance Governance Frameworks which details regulations, industry and legal commitments including GDPR and captures assurance review requirements, findings, outcomes and action plans.

You will support the management of the Integrated Management System, ensuring documentation including policies and procedures are current and accessible. You will be responsible for the management of the Compliance Dashboard and manage a suite of management reports, as required by the Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS) Director, Executive Leadership Team and Compliance Governance Manager. You will support internal assurance requirements and the preparation for external audits.

Severn Trent Green Power is a subsidiary of Severn Trent Water, and we own and operate nine market leading food waste and crop recycling anaerobic digestion facilities across the UK. As a leading processor of organic waste, we recycle food waste from a range of partners, converting their waste into renewable energy.

As we now enter a new growth phase, we’re seeking a Commercial Director to join us, to ensure we have the best sourcing strategy and commercial thinking available to help shape the future of Severn Trent Green Power. Sitting as part of our Executive Team, you’ll support our Directors in providing insightful management information to shape the strategy and direction of the business, to maximise profit and the longevity of our operations, all whilst leading and developing our 15 strong Commercial team.

Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:

  • Develop the business’s Commercial strategy to ensure that the food and green waste plants deliver and exceed their investment business cases
  • Own and build on contract relationships to deliver key renewals, increase contracts throughput, and provide value added services
  • Lead commercial negotiations to secure long and short-term contracts and develop strategic alliances both internally & externally to secure a favourable long-term position in a highly competitive market
  • Innovate the range of product and service offerings we provide to differentiate our value vs others
  • Build the Severn Trent Green Power brand and reputation to be the leading provider within the sector, and own key local relationships in the communities we operate within
  • Support our growth plans by leading the commercial part of our growth strategy, improving the value chain, developing new partnerships and new business development ideas
  • Take ownership of key purchasing categories and deliver cost savings

ROLE SUMMARY:

You will be required to operate a wide range of mobile and static plant and machinery at, various across the Oxfordshire region, in the receipt, processing of incoming waste and exit and spreading of the end product as directed by the Site Manager you are allocated to each day. This will involve the export of compost via tractor and trailer. You will also hold collective and individual site responsibility for ensuring daily tasks are completed to ensure the site compliance to PAS100 and ISO standards, permit requirements and a safe and environmentally compliance working environment. ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Power & Controls Manager the role of the Mobile LV Electrician is to maintain, repair and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant and equipment as well as providing support and assistance to the technical support/engineering team.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring all health and safety regulation and company standards are adhered to.
  • Optimise, maintain and repair process critical control instrumentation.
  • Maintenance of Electric motor drive systems and associated control systems including basic motor starters and inverters.

WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF THIS ROLE?

As a senior member of the Compliance Team, you will ensure that the business site operations comply with legal, regulatory and other requirements including the company’s Integrated Management System, Environmental Permits, ABHA approvals and PAS 110/100 accreditation, through the regular auditing and monitoring of operational sites and the company Head Office.

You will lead a team of Compliance Delivery Officers located across the business’ operational areas and a Compliance Administrative Assistant in their duties.

ROLE SUMMARY:

This full-time roles’ core responsibilities are to ensure compliance documentation is current and fully maintained, that STGP staff training records are in date, ensure site protocols are followed and audit trails are complete. As the Compliance Manager you will oversee regular assurance reviews of all aspects of regulatory compliance and health and safety requirements, reporting findings and outcomes. You will ensure any outstanding requirements and actions are followed up and support the delivery of activities to ensure compliance is maintained. As an integral part of the HR team in Severn Trent Green Power, your role is to deliver HR Administration, first line advice and payroll activities. You will support employee lifecycle processes and advise managers on policy and processes. This is a full-time role based from our STGP Head office in rural Oxfordshire.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be working alongside the HR Business Partner and HR Officer in this fast-paced role where attention to detail and accuracy are critical.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide HR & payroll administration on tasks such as; recruitment, pre boarding and onboarding documentation, leavers, employee relations and family friendly processes
  • Administer the monthly payroll process, liaising with the HR and Finance teams as and when relevant as well as the Group Payroll team and external payroll provider ensuring monthly feedback is given where appropriate
  • As part of the payroll process, administer the employee benefits and reward platform
  • Maintenance of our newly implemented HRIS (Sage people platform “Our People Hub”) & HR Administration processes
  • Administration of the recruitment process from role sign off through to candidate offer, assisting the HR Officer and HR Business Partner as required
  • Resolve employee and line manager queries, or escalate as appropriate
  • Ensure that SharePoint is updated as appropriate
  • Support the annual pay review, bonus and other projects or associated administrative processes as required.
  • Ensure Group reports are provided in a timely manner as and when requested
  • Support New Talent Administration requirements
  • Support L&D Administration requirements
  • Maintain the electronic filing process within the HRIS
  • Liaison with or escalation to the HR Officer and HR Business Partner, and senior internal stakeholders
  • Be the subject matter expert on the HRIS, continuously improving the system as and when required

Reporting to the Operations Director, it is your role to coordinate resources (including staff and contractors) to ensure that the workshop provides a first-class service to the Anaerobic Digestion Plants and composting sites. You will be the first point of contact for day to day and short-term maintenance planning of all site diesel plant and machinery as well as fixed stationary machinery such as shredders and screeners. You will be responsible for all short-term preventative maintenance programs, plant machinery servicing, inspections, repairs, and reactive maintenance requirements.

Managing the Workshop team, you will coordinate and schedule their work to ensure quick turnaround times, reduced downtime and efficient service to the Operational sites, always working to ensure site efficiencies are maintained and the operation can continue. You will work in conjunction with the Asset Maintenance Manager, Regional Managers, Site Managers and the Engineering and commissioning Manager to ensure that the STGP portfolio of operational sites have a full and complete maintenance, asset, and engineering support.

Operating on long and medium term municipal contracts. West London AD Facility processes spot market commercial food wastes (solid and liquid), which include packaged goods. The facility processes approximately 50,000 tonnes of solid and liquid wastes a year, generating 2.4 MW of renewable electricity and producing a nutrient rich bio-fertiliser.

Your role is to assist the Site Manager in ensuring your site is operated as efficiently and safely as possible, in compliance with all the relevant regulations. Working Monday- Friday, there will be requirements for weekends, Bank holidays and call out/standby rota. This hands-on role requires the daily operation and maintenance of plant and machinery, including telehandlers. The role involves the safe tipping, handling and processing of Food Waste deliveries, sometimes using a Telehandler whilst maintaining high levels of cleanliness on the site and other general housekeeping duties. There will be some involvement with IT and you will be required to assist with maintenance tasks.
