Role Summary

Built to service Oxfordshire County and its District Councils and The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Wallingford composting site processes up to 25,000 tonnes of garden waste a year. The site is also used throughout the year to educate members of the public and school children about the benefits of recycling.

The purpose of the Litter Picker is to ensure the site you are assigned to is clean, tidy and free of litter and give any general assistance as directed by the Site Manager. To assist the site in achieving PAS100 standards. This includes maintenance, health, welfare, safety legislative and environmental issues.

The Litter Picker is expected to be an ambassador of the company through championing the Severn Trent Green Power Values and culture.

Key Responsibilities

• To remove any contaminant out of the product by manual picking of litter

• To give general assistance as needed in achieving site adherence to PAS100 standards.

• To maintain and upkeep the general cleanliness and first impression of the site by mowing, strimming and pressure washing as required.

• To give general assistance to ensure the Site complies with maintenance, health, welfare, safety, legislative and environmental requirements.

• Assist the Team in ensuring the Company’s BMS and site compliance is adhered to

• Assist the Team in meeting Site financial targets

• General assistance across Severn Trent Green Power Sites and various other contracts as and when required in order to ensure the smooth running of STGP contracts as a whole

• Ensuring compliance of the Company’s environmental, health and safety and personnel policies and procedures in your work.

Key Requirements
