Our Stoke Bardolph AD plant processes a variety of agricultural crops, which generates 5.6MW of energy and produces an excellent bio-fertiliser which is spread on local farmland.
The plant processes a variety of agricultural crops from adjacent farmland which has been used for the safe recycling of sewage sludge for over 120 years. The land potentially contains elevated levels of heavy metals and this places certain restrictions on what the land can be used, but it is extremely fertile and is suitable for the cultivation of maize for energy recovery.
