The anaerobic digestion facility at Bishop's Cleeve is a state of the art facility serving Gloucestershire and the surrounding area. The plant provides an environmentally sound way of disposing food waste for both Gloucestershire County Council and a wide range of local businesses and schools. The capacity of 34,000 tonnes of food waste capacity per annum produces biomethane that is injected directly into the gas network.

Gloucestershire residents and businesses that recycle their food waste are now able to turn their waste into renewable energy, cutting their emissions and improving their green credentials.
