Severn Trent Green Power Wallingford Composting site

Our Wallingford composting site serves a number of local authorities including Oxfordshire County, and its District Councils, and The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. The site processes up to 25,000 tonnes of garden waste a year and is used throughout the year to educate members of the public and school children about the benefits of recycling.

How to use our services

To recycle your waste and for more information on acceptable waste types and available capacity please contact us.

Pre-booked waste deliveries can be received at the following times:

0800 - 1700: Monday - Friday

The facility is designed to accept source segregated green garden waste. It diverts organic waste from landfill and produces a valuable organic compost fertiliser. Wastes that can be treated in the facility include a very wide spectrum of green waste including plant cuttings, weeds, grass and hedge cuttings, cut flowers, and branches no larger than 7.5cm in diameter. We are unable to accept Japanese knotweed, ragwort, soil or treated wood.

Our compost products meet strict feedstock and end product specifications and are suitable for use on organic farms. They are currently sold in bulk quantities of 100 tonnes or more.
