Food Waste Recycling for Food Producers

If you run a business where food waste can be produced, then you will certainly benefit from a reliable food waste recycling service.

While waste recycling is not your core business, it’s an important part of making sure you remain efficient, responsible, and compliant. Plus, it can significantly reduce excess weight charges as part of your general waste and of course, has huge benefits for the environment.

We have a team of dedicated and experienced commercial account managers who can provide you with a competitive, reliable, and sustainable long-term service, regardless of how large or small your business is, or how much food waste you deliver.

We currently manage the collection and recycling of surplus or inedible food and production wastes from food producers, packing, distribution companies, through to retail businesses across London, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Oxfordshire, Birmingham, Derby and South Wales.

As part of our services, we’ll provide you with:

  • A robust and reliable food waste recycling service that consistently meets PAS110 and PAS100 standards
  • Competitive pricing
  • 100% plant availability
  • A collaborative approach – we’ll work with you to positively promote the work you do to recycle food waste
  • Assurance that your food waste is being turned into lovely green energy and bio-fertiliser and delivering real environmental benefits.

All of our AD facilities are approved to process category 3 animal by-products, which means we can accept a wide variety of food wastes including:

  • Production wastes from the manufacture of food and beverages; both solids and liquids
  • Packaged food waste such as surplus, spoiled or off-spec stock, out of date products, stock clearances, factory breakdowns or QC failed products
  • Food from trade waste collection rounds
  • Restaurant and catering wastes
  • Bakery and bread products
  • Domestic kerbside collected food waste
  • Liquids and very wet wastes such as compost leachate, alcohols, fats and oils

We aim to be flexible and accommodating with regards to which waste presentations we accept. As well as the usual presentation in skips, bulkers or otherwise, we can handle material in dolavs, bins, IBC's, pallets and barrels. We can also provide washing services for these receptacles if required.

All of our sites have robust front end de-packaging systems capable of handling primary and secondary packaging up to a maximum of 20% of the total load.

Only four types of packaging are not acceptable without special arrangement: Glass, textiles, tertiary packaging and canned material. We're unable to take any hazardous materials or large items that would damage our processing equipment or biology.

Our experienced team will be happy to advise how we can accommodate any of your specific requirements (Get In Touch).

We have a dedicated and experienced in-house commercial team who can provide you with excellent account management and logistics services, as well as advise you on how to minimise costs and maximise value and efficiency. Our team will provide you with one point of contact for all food waste collections, including transport arrangements.

In addition they will supply bespoke data analysis for you to feed into your operational and CSR reports and work with you to positively promote the work you do to recycle food waste.
