ROLE SUMMARY:

Severn Trent Green Power is now entering into a new growth phase and is therefore seeking 2 Senior Strategy Officers to help us achieve our vision and shape our future growth trajectory. The Senior Strategy officers will be critical members of the Severn Trent Strategy and Development team, with full responsibility and freedom for injecting new and different ways of thinking and making our growth plans a reality.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of strategic projects from concept through to delivery and take a lead in the consideration of process optimisation and resilience. Ensure that consultants and contractors fully consider requirements for commissioning and future operation.
  • Performing market analysis and keeping pace with external market policy.
  • Engaging with a range of stakeholders to respond to relevant government and industry consultations and providing feedback and insight to the business.
  • Undergo site and data-based analysis to support optimisation or troubleshooting of existing assets.
  • Analysing data and preparing visual outputs of results in an engaging and meaningful way.

As an integral part of the HR team in Severn Trent Green Power, your role is to deliver HR Administration, first line advice and payroll activities. You will support employee lifecycle processes and advise managers on policy and processes. This is a full-time role based from our STGP Head office in rural Oxfordshire.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be working alongside the HR Business Partner and HR Officer in this fast-paced role where attention to detail and accuracy are critical.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide HR & payroll administration on tasks such as; recruitment, pre boarding and onboarding documentation, leavers, employee relations and family friendly processes
  • Administer the monthly payroll process, liaising with the HR and Finance teams as and when relevant as well as the Group Payroll team and external payroll provider ensuring monthly feedback is given where appropriate
  • As part of the payroll process, administer the employee benefits and reward platform
  • Maintenance of our newly implemented HRIS (Sage people platform “Our People Hub”) & HR Administration processes
  • Administration of the recruitment process from role sign off through to candidate offer, assisting the HR Officer and HR Business Partner as required
  • Resolve employee and line manager queries, or escalate as appropriate
  • Ensure that SharePoint is updated as appropriate
  • Support the annual pay review, bonus and other projects or associated administrative processes as required.
  • Ensure Group reports are provided in a timely manner as and when requested
  • Support New Talent Administration requirements
  • Support L&D Administration requirements
  • Maintain the electronic filing process within the HRIS
  • Liaison with or escalation to the HR Officer and HR Business Partner, and senior internal stakeholders
  • Be the subject matter expert on the HRIS, continuously improving the system as and when required

Reporting to the Operations Director, it is your role to coordinate resources (including staff and contractors) to ensure that the workshop provides a first-class service to the Anaerobic Digestion Plants and composting sites. You will be the first point of contact for day to day and short-term maintenance planning of all site diesel plant and machinery as well as fixed stationary machinery such as shredders and screeners. You will be responsible for all short-term preventative maintenance programs, plant machinery servicing, inspections, repairs, and reactive maintenance requirements.

Managing the Workshop team, you will coordinate and schedule their work to ensure quick turnaround times, reduced downtime and efficient service to the Operational sites, always working to ensure site efficiencies are maintained and the operation can continue. You will work in conjunction with the Asset Maintenance Manager, Regional Managers, Site Managers and the Engineering and commissioning Manager to ensure that the STGP portfolio of operational sites have a full and complete maintenance, asset, and engineering support.

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will support and maintain the company’s operational compliance framework by supporting Operational site teams. You will ensure compliance documentation is current and fully maintained, that staff training records are in date, ensure site protocols are followed and audit trails are complete.

You will undertake regular assurance reviews of all aspects of regulatory compliance and health and safety requirements, reporting findings and outcomes. You will follow up on any outstanding requirements and support the delivery of activities to ensure compliance is maintained and support the preparation of external audit activity by industry regulators and close-out actions.

As a CDO you will be responsible for the compliance assurance of a cluster of operational sites and oversee their specific activities. The nature of the role means that you will work methodically, with excellent attention to detail, working to strict deadlines as well as having the aptitude to produce clear and comprehensive written reports and statistical information using MS Office. You will communicate with site employees at all levels and maintain effective engagement. You will apply compliance knowledge in a practical capacity and with commercial astuteness to ensure safety, quality and environmental excellence.

The role of the Compliance Governance Manager is the central hub to the Compliance team. You will manage the Compliance Governance Framework detailing regulations, industry and legal commitments including GDPR, develop the Assurance Plan and Audit Roadmap in conjunction with the Compliance Manager, manage the team policies and documentation, oversee permit and accreditation activities including consultations and external requests for information. You will also be the central source of team MI as required by the QEHS Director and Executive Leadership Team.

Operating on long and medium term municipal contracts. North London AD Facility processes spot market commercial food wastes (solid and liquid), which include packaged goods. The facility processes approximately 50,000 tonnes of solid and liquid wastes a year, generating 3MW of renewable electricity and producing a nutrient rich biofertiliser.

Your role is to assist the Site Manager in ensuring your site is operated as efficiently and safely as possible, in compliance with all the relevant regulations. Working Monday- Friday, there will be requirements for weekends, Bank holidays and call out /standby rota. This hands-on role requires the daily operation and maintenance of plant and machinery, including telehandlers. The role involves the safe tipping, handling and processing of Food Waste deliveries, sometimes using a Telehandler whilst maintaining high levels of cleanliness on the site and other general housekeeping duties. There will be some involvement with IT and you will be required to assist with maintenance tasks.

Cassington AD Facility operates amongst others a long term contract with Oxfordshire County Council. It also processes commercial food wastes, which include packaged goods. The facility processes over 50,000 tonnes of solid and liquid wastes a year, generating 2.1MW of electricity and producing an excellent bio-fertiliser. Due to a recent promotion this busy site is recruiting for a supervisor to join its established team to support the Site Manager with the daily operation.

This is a hands-on Supervisor role and involves the supervision of others in the operation of all technology, plant and machinery within the site during daily operations.

You will support the manager for the safety of all people on the site and for site compliance with regard to health; welfare; people management; cost; quality; legislative; and environmental matters. You are responsible for ensuring that site targets are achieved. You may on occasions need to communicate with external people including clients, the Environment Agency, Animal Health and any visitors to the site.
